Description

This is one of the very first photos that I took in Israel, during the morning Sunrise (Naytz) Shacharit prayer service, connected to the Patriarch Abraham, at the Western (retaining) Wall of Temple Mount Moriah acropolis. I took this optical lens photo, when I first arrived in Jerusalem, in 1996, with a $10 (50 shekel) Korean Kinon camera that I bought in the Shuk. It still prints at higher resolution than any other (expensive) camera, app or “smartphone” that I’ve used since, which allows me to sell single large canvas prints, 40x30 inches, unlike the rest of my digital art, so far. This photo was an accident, as I didn’t even know that the camera had a double exposure setting. It’s was a plastic piece of junk & captured the spirit of the moment perfectly.
